On October 24th, 2008 the one and only Pete Tong will team up with promoter Live Nation to launch the premiere of a new music platform called the Insiders Music Series.
Pete’s intention is to highlight some of the international electronic and indie acts that have been blowing up lately around the world, with names like Luciano, Soulwax, The Whip and more on the bill.
Says Pete, “Insiders brings together an exciting combination of the hottest electronic artists and DJs for one extended night in the legendary Irving Plaza venue. A cutting edge ‘micro’ festival in the city.”
“This is an exciting and groundbreaking opportunity for the business of electronic music…”
The primary aim of the festival is to “cross pollinate” across different genres with artists that aren’t necessarily considered mainstream, and by teaming up with a promoter as big as Live Nation, this event can bring together some of the world’s best electronic and indie acts on the rise today, giving them more exposure.
According to the press release, senior V.P. of Live Nation New York Jason Miller says, “I am excited to collaborate with Pete who has had unprecedented success and remains one of the celebrated architects of modern electronic music. We each bring a unique yet complimentary perspective that will not only set this event apart from all others but lay the foundation for several years to come.”
